An Ending... and a Beginning
On October 23rd, 2008, the elders of Edge Community agreed that God is calling us to wrap up the work He began 6 years ago.
Although the decision to end Edge Community was birthed out of much prayer, it comes with some sadness as we experience the end of something that has been a big part of our lives for quite some time.
Mixed with that sadness, though, is a strong sense of joy and excitement as we realize again that God has accomplished what He wanted to accomplish with Edge, and will accomplish what He wants to accomplish by sending us into other local fellowships to continue His work as parts of the body of Christ.
Sunday, November 2nd, is our last Sunday Gathering. We will be wrapping up our journey with a time of worship, testimony, and communion. Please join us! We'll be starting at 10AM with food and fellowship.
If you have any questions or comments you would like to share with the elders, you can email us at leadership@edgecommunity.com, or contact us individually using the information below. We want to hear from you!
Encouragement from the Word:
"For I know what I have planned for you,'says the LORD. 'I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope." ~ Jeremiah 29:11
"For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 1:6
"Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy, complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose." ~ Philippians 2:1-2
"Then Jesus came up and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." ~ Matthew 28:18-20
