Every three seconds someone needs blood. One out of every 4 people entering a hospital needs blood. Just one pint of donated blood can save up to 3 people’s lives. 60% of the population is able to donate blood, and yet only 5% do.
This Sunday, April 10th is the last Sunday to sign up to give blood. We need at least 8 more people to sign up this week, but it would be awesome if we showed the community how much we care by getting 18 more donors.
The blood drive is on Sunday, April 17th at the Lakeport Elks Lodge on Lakeshore Blvd. You may also sign up for a certain time slot by e-mailing Monica Schlange at mschlange@edgecommunity.com.
